Caleta Paraiso, Costa Antigua, Fuerteventura

Caleta Paraiso is a complex that is located in Costa Antigua, which neighbours Caleta de Fuste, in Fuerteventura. There are 164 properties on Caleta Paraiso, 120 are one bedroom apartments, the rest being mainly studios.

I was one of the first people to buy on the Caleta Paraiso complex and was happy to be able to have first choice of those that were for sale. It has excellent views over Cocosol an towards the sea, and the balcony is not overlooked. All these features make my apartment a very nice place to be.

The economic crisis has caused problems for Ferteventura because the number of tourists has fallen, but there are signs that when things in general have improved a little the fortunes of the tourist industry on the island should pick up quite quickly.

Several airlines have committed to opening new routes in the winter. These include Easyjet who will be flying from Liverpool and Stansted with a total of five flights a week and Monarch who will be flying from four British Airports.

Aer Lingus will be flying from Dublin twice a week, so all in all things should be looking up in the very near future.

Another effect of the crisis was that the government in Spain put a lot of money into work to improve roads and pavements in places such as Costa Antigua and this has lead to a general upgrade of the area.

Caleta Paraiso is only a short trip away from the airport and is as such short breaks don't involve wasting time on transfers that could be better spent by the pool or catching up with friends and aquaintences.

If you are an owner and wish to discuss any issues affecting Caleta Paraiso there is an owners forum Caleta Paraiso owners forum on the Sunny Fuerteventura website.
